GaN technology

33W ER POWER adapter with USB-C PD port is powered by GaN technology. GaN is short for gallium nitride, this compound serves as an alternative to silicon semiconductors. The main advantages of GaN technology are that semiconductors made of gallium nitride can withstand much higher frequencies than commonly used silicon semiconductors, and also smaller dimensions and several times higher efficiency without overheating.
